Fantastic history everywhere. Beautiful restored apartments with amazing views. Lovely staff. Perfect location and easy to get to, will definitely be returning.
This is the most wonderful experience! Cockatoo Islsnd is so wonderful to explore, but combining it with overnight camping in an on-site tent is the best. We arrived earlier in the day and were able to leave our bags so that we could walk around. There is so much to see and do. We had a lovely lunch at one of the cafes, pizzas are delicious! We then checked into our tent. It was supplied with fresh linen and towels etc. We bought some wine from the cafe and self catered with our own cheese platter (camp kitchen has fridges etc) overlooking the beautiful harbour as the sun set, it was magical. If you ever have the opportunity to do an overnight stay, just do it. We loved it!
Beatiful view with very private place.
Still a lot of old heritage building looks terrible. Not much to walking place due to old building. Surounding area not feeling good or safe.
