Not a small scale ryokan as it had many floors but felt very low-key and intimate. Tatami flooring from the outset so bare feet only (socks permitted) throughout the building. Pyjamas were provided to wear in all areas too. The onsen was small but perfectly serene. Never overcrowded and you could check on your room TV to see how busy it was before you went down. Breakfast was really lovely if you're good for a Japanese breakfast. Otherwise rather limited on the Continental style side. Not a criticism, just advising. It is a ryokan after all. Beds and pillows were comfy. I asked for extra pillows and they were willingly provided. Location is fantastic for the Shrine and Asakusa area. Its a real gem and I'd love to stay again. True, its not on the Yamanote line but its such a great area its still worth staying there. Very busy during the day - way too much really but delightful in the evenings with lots of izakaya and restaurants nearby.

Good: - Location is right near Asakusa temple which is especially pretty late at night with no one around. - Food was pretty decent! - View of Tokyo Skytree and Asakusa from the bedroom was a HUGE plus! Loved it Bad/Its Okay: - Expedia doesn’t say which of the 2 Onyado, this one is for Bettei, which is around the corner from the other. I’m sure they get this a lot. - Smaller than other Dormy Inn/Onyado Nono’s with 1 main bath and 2 solo tubs in the onsen. - It feels like it’s gotten way more use than other Onyado Nono. - Food selection was small compared to the other 2 I’ve stayed at. Still good tho.

The hotel is very good area, walkable near the train station. But is over price for 200+ no cleaning, bed extremely uncomfortable , no breakfast, so crowded in hot springs. Much better hotels in your buy.

Short stay during busy new year’s festival

Hotel room is clean however there is quite a number of stains on the tatami mats. Other than that we enjoyed the amazing breakfast, free ramen and ice cream at night. Our room is close to the elevator area but we did not hear any noise, we had great sleep at night.

I stay here every 6 month for a few nights and absolutely my fav place in Tokyo. It’s so quiet even though it’s in the middle of asakusa. Onsen is wonderful. The most amazing thing is their staff members. They are friendly, kind, and efficient. Over the years with over-tourism, many tourists don’t respect our cultures, which sort of ruin my experiences here at Nono. But still, no other place beats here so I will come back!
