Clean hotel but the area that it’s in is considered the red light district and was a bit dirty (for Japanese standards). Staff is very friendly and held my bags overnight while I visited Kyoto. Nice hotel if you’re planning to stay for a few days but it’s a bit small if you’re planning to stay for a longer period.

The staffs were very friendly, the breakfast was bomb ! , rooms are very clean and great , location is wonderful , services are amazing ! , only the smoking room that needs attention the air circulation is not good. So From 1 to 10 , i would rate 9,7!! For sure friends and i will come back

I had a fantastic stay at Shinjuku Granbell Hotel. The location in Kabukicho is lively and convenient, just a short walk from Shinjuku Station. The rooms, though compact, were well-designed, clean, and comfortable. The rooftop bar offers amazing city views, and the staff were friendly and helpful. With great amenities and a prime location, I highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable stay in Tokyo.

The hotel is very clean, staff was nice. I did not enjoy the location very much. It’s walkable to the train stations but the walk was kinda long esp with luggages. There was also a nasty sewer smell in the bathroom everytime you flushed the toilet. The room was clean but I just had to keep the bathroom door shut. I wouldn’t stay here next time but it’s not the worst place ever. Just a few things I’d rather not deal with again.

Underwhelmed by Shinjuku Granbell

Based on the pictures and all the positive reviews, we were excited to stay here. However, when we arrived, we were extremely underwhelmed. The hotel feels very run down and in need of upgrades. The location isn’t great (not close to major subway lines, in a party district surrounded by “love hotels”) and the cleanliness could have been better. The staff and service were good though, which does count for something. Manage your expectations if you choose this property.
