The staff, and the head chef and everyone involved, were extremely helpful and very respectful. Despite our language barrier, everyone was polite and kind. Very sad to leave, but no doubt that we will recommend the Granbell to anyone.

There was mold flying out of my vent that provides AC and heat. The staff came into my room and took pictures of the mold to show the manager. The manager said there was nothing they could do and that I had to stay in the room. After making a big deal out of it, they said the best they could do was to make me pay 22,000 yen to get into another room. I was coughing up blood every morning due to the mold. Absolutely ridiculous for a “4 star hotel”

The hallways smelled like cigarettes, the area around the hotel was sketchy, almost like the red light district, the room itself was decent enough for a night or two, but I would not recommend staying here for a long time.
