⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fabulous Stay at Marlin Hotel Stephens Green We stayed at the Marlin Hotel Stephens Green in Dublin for six days, and it was absolutely fabulous. The location couldn’t be better—everything was walkable, from shopping at Dunnes and the main shopping streets south of the Liffey to countless restaurants, pubs, and sightseeing spots. The hotel is also conveniently close to several hop-on hop-off bus stops, which made exploring the city incredibly easy. The hotel itself was spotless, modern, and very quiet—perfect for relaxing after a full day out. The restaurant and bar on the main floor were excellent, and we enjoyed spending time there. From the start, the service stood out. When we checked in, we were welcomed by Wolfe, who was outstanding—friendly, helpful, and full of great recommendations for our trip. We also appreciated the hotel’s early check-in option (for a small fee), which made our arrival day so much smoother. Alternatively, they happily store your bags if you’d prefer to start exploring right away. One feature we especially liked was that the hotel has air conditioning, which many Dublin hotels do not. The only note here is that the AC is controlled through the front desk, so if you want it adjusted (especially at night), you’ll need to call down. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Between the ideal location, cleanliness, modern comfort, and wonderful staff, the Marlin Hotel Stephens Green made our Dublin trip unforgettable. Highly r

This property is hardly a four star property. We had issues with the room which in fairness was handled by the manager except for the phone that would not work. The location is a little tote as well.

This hotel has SO MUCH potential, but it just doesn't live up to it! The check-in is via an automated machine, not a friendly staff member. The lobby area is very fancy and smart, but smells of cigarette smoke as people are permitted to smoke just outside the front doors. We had a 'cosy King' room, and we were expecting small. We had also seen photos, and were prepared for there to be no space around the bed. However, we were not prepared for a room that has no reading lights (lighting is either ON or OFF), nor were we prepared to have get up in the middle of the night to switch the aircon back on because 'to save energy' it goes off at 11pm and 5am, leaving the room stuffy and hot. We were not expecting to have three coathangers as the only storage for clothes, nor were we expecting to be unable to shower most mornings as there was no hot water. There were no sockets by the bed (and only two in total for the whole room) so charging phones etc was tricky. Soundproofing was poor, and the automated blinds 'clicked' all night, so we were either woken by banging doors along the corridor, or by the blinds. On Saturday morning, we were woken by the maid knocking at 8am despite our 'do not disturb' sign being on. Overall, this is NOT a good hotel. It could be - and it should be - but it's not.

Hotel was pretty standard. There was a lot of confusion around early check in/ late check out process which was really frustrating and when we came back from shopping our keys no longer worked. Other than that totally fine but the poor organization with check-in/ check out wasn’t great.

We stayed 1 night on our arrival in Dublin. The staff offered to keep our luggage so we could explore the city asap. They gave us lots of suggestions on what to see & do. On checkout they again went out if there way to hold our luggage so we could spend extra time exploring the city. They arranged a taxi for us when we left. Dinner was amazing also. The staff went out of there way to welcome us to Ireland & make us feel comfortable! We will recommend this hotel & stay again hopefully on our next trip back to beautiful Ireland!!!!

🚨 Avoid This Hotel — Safe Isn’t Safe Staying at the Marlin Hotel Dublin was honestly unsettling. I used the in-room safe thinking my belongings would be secure, but they somehow disappeared—no signs of forced entry, no alerts, just gone. When I reported it, the hotel didn’t seem too concerned. They called the police and said they’d investigate, but there was no real explanation, no follow-up, and no support. It felt like they were just going through the motions. The whole experience left me feeling exposed and uneasy. It didn’t feel like a place where guests are looked after. 💀 Clearly, someone has access to those safes. And it’s not just items being taken—it’s trust. If you care about your safety and peace of mind, I’d seriously recommend staying somewhere else. This wasn’t just disappointing—it was unsettling.

Very clean, A/C stops sometimes but it was explained in a welcome sheet so it was all good, their soap and shampoos are all from Loccitane. All the stuff people are very nice, too. When I asked for hot water for tea, they sent someone over right away with an electric kettle and some black tea bags and sugar and all 👍 The room we stayed was pretty small for two people but the bed was very big so it was comfortable once we figured out how not to be in a way of each other. One thing it bothered us was there was no fan in the bathroom and we couldn't keep the door open either. So the steam stayed for a long time and it was uncomfortable to use after a shower. And the smoke alarm went off from the steam when I opened the door right after the shower. Oh, and I could hear EVERYTHING my husband was doing in the bathroom! This room is good for a couple in a committed relationship but not for a romantic getaway for just started dating kind of couple, just FYI ;) Anyway, we really enjoyed our stay there :)
