This was my second time in this hotel, so can only repeat my first review really - very helpful staff, excellent location (very close to Atocha rail station and several key underground stations). As I was out very early I did not book breakfast so cannot comment on that aspect. One footnote, though, and this is not a reflection on the hotel itself but worth knowing: this time round the room was on 5th floor and guests on both sides of my room had been making "conversation" loudly until almost 1AM - so make sure you pack ear plugs, but even with those I found it impossible to sleep until the "discussions" at insane volume died down (and in totally ignorant fashion - they were either hearing-impaired or just completely ignorant of being in a hotel...). It seems that even in 4-star hotel one can easily find people who behave as if they never stayed in a hotel.

Very helpful staff and surprisingly quiet, too (admittedly, 8th floor room so that maybe helped, too). It has superb location close to Atocha and other metro stations, too.

Excellent accommodations the rooms were larger than normal and the upkeep of the hotel was outstanding. Location was great walking distance to the train station and around 12k to the airport. Would definitely stay here again.

Tastefully decorated hotel with a classic, midcentury vibe. Our room was furnihsed with an enormous firm bed. No outside noise or any other disturbances. The bathroom was had modern amenities. The staff--all handsome young men--comported themselves professionally. And excellent cafes are just a couple of blocks away. You should stay here.

City break in Madrid

We arrived on the day of the Spanish power cuts and the staff dealt with the situation very well and with good humour. Hotel is in good location for railway station, city centre and Retiro Park (which is a great space to relax in after a day sightseeing). Didn’t use the on sight cafeteria but the hotel was very comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. Would recommend for a city break in Madrid.

We had a very nice stay in this somewhat older but very well maintained hotel. Staff and cleanliness was first-rate, and the hotel restaurant had a good selection of meals at reasonable prices. Great area near Atocha for trains and about a 5 minute walk to two different Metro stations.
