Property is dated and the washing machine broke down which took us an hour to get it working (we fixed the problem ourselves). Having said that the staff are helpful and professional. Great location. Have a laundry in-house is a plus.

Great hotel

Great location needs more parking spaces onsite tree behind parking lot needs to be trimmed as cars are left filthy, roof deck also needs renovations tables seem to be on there last legs

I didn’t like the fact that the person I stayed in the room with we were required to go to breakfast together. He’s a super early bird, I’m not. Therefore, no breakfast for him because I didn’t want to be up early, no breakfast for me because by the time I was ready to eat he gone elsewhere. I couldn’t understand why it was mandatory that we went together.

Honestly, I didn’t think it was worth $170 for the night. Additionally, I had to pay an extra $20 for parking, which I thought was included in the hotel reservation. One of the biggest surprises was from the front desk staff, who explained that I needed to finish breakfast within 30 minutes. I was completely puzzled by that instruction. When I asked why, she mentioned it gets crowded. If the hotel doesn’t have sufficient space to accommodate all the guests, that shouldn’t be my problem. I asked if I could at least take the food to my room, but her response was no. This experience felt reminiscent of my school days, where we had quick lunch breaks and had to rush back. Also, the room size was much smaller than what I saw in the pictures.Honestly, I didn’t think it was worth $170 for the night. Just one E train subway stop from midtown Manhattan! Very clean hotel. Comfortable bed. Not super fancy but does the job well. I'd stay here again. The only negative is my " neighbors" would let their doors slam shut automatically which created a lot of noise.

This hotel is a perfect place to stay when visiting NYC. It is extremely clean and comfortable. If you think you need to stay “in the middle of everything” like Times Square, you’re wrong. Easy access to the subway and a great breakfast are huge benefits for The LIC Hotel. You get home from a busy day in Manhattan, and it’s like a small, quiet town. Enjoy a (take your own) drink and snacks on the rooftop lounge area and enjoy the breathtaking view of the upper east side. I stay here every time I’m in New York.
