It's definitely not the old Doubletree. They used to be a step up from the bottom, but adequate tier of hotels. Instead, the hotel was quiet dull. White walls. Gray carpet. But the bed was quite comfortable and the location was fine.

Check in staff was rude. When we asked our room number he stared at us without answering. TV did not work, service tech sent to help was very good but could not repair. Front desk said they would give us breakfast vouchers since we missed the football game. And to pickup the vouchers in the morning. In morning we tried to pickup our breakfast vouchers and were told breakfast is not included. We explained what the night staff told us and the manager rudely gave us breakfast vouchers. While waiting for our shuttle we asked for water and were told it is available by purchase only, again rudely by manager. We are thankful for the shuttle direct to JFK terminal.

Poor bus shuttle pick up from the airport. That's the only reason to stay at this hotel and they didn't even do bus shuttle pickup on time, promptly. Was waiting outside in the cold for 1 hour.

The room was OK. It did look like the environmental control unit needed cleaning. The rest of the room was fine. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. It did take a long time to get dinner in the restaurant on site. To make it right the server took half off our bill without us asking. Shuttle service was good. I would go back because of the staff. Overall the room itself was just average.
