You get what you pay for. The room was clean and tidy, but very basic. The only big negative is that you have no control over heating and cooling in the room other than a ceiling fan. With the wide variations of climate in SF, I think this could be a problem at times. During my one-night stay, it was not.

rooms don’t have heaters they give you a portable heater, which is not safe. It was no phone in the room. You have to come downstairs all away from six floor.

Great location across the street from the Curran Theater and just a couple blocks from Union Square. Friendly staff. The room was on the small side when compared to major chains, but clean and efficient. Would stay again.

Great stay with great value

Amazing location in downtown San Francisco few minutes away from Union Square, BART, metros, street cars amd buses The employees were really professional and friendly. I definitely recommend this hotel and I’ll come back next time.

Staff was very friendly, and the building has an old school charm like the rest of the city. For the budget, no complaints at all. We didn’t have enough time to check out their attached diner but it seemed really cute!

It was ok until the last day. My room flooded because of person above me. They did not switch my room. Water dropped from ceiling in bathroom all night. The lady at front desk was quite helpful and friendly.

The hotel is very nice for the amount paid. It was clean, the staff was helpful, and everything worked. So completely recommend the hotel if you want a budget option near Union Square. That said, you should know that Union square has become a dirty part of town. I saw feces all over the streets and lots of stores have closed.
