The hotel’s location was quite convenient, and we appreciated being close to everything. We arrived a little early and were informed that early check-in wasn’t available, which was understandable. However, while other guests were offered a welcome champagne upon arrival, we were simply directed to wait on the rooftop by the pool.
We returned right at 3 PM, but unfortunately had to wait an additional 30–60 minutes because the room was still not ready. When we finally checked in, the room was on the smaller side but charming. Unfortunately, it was uncomfortably warm, and the air conditioning did not work. The front desk kindly provided us with a fan but explained that no other rooms were available. While we tried to make the best of the situation, it was disappointing.
Upon checkout, when I mentioned the issue, the receptionist insisted the temperature was “fine.” I found this response dismissive, especially since the staff member who brought the fan had already acknowledged that the air conditioner wasn’t working.
Overall, the location and aesthetic of the hotel were nice, but the lack of functioning air conditioning, the handling of the situation, and the inconsistent service at check-in impacted the experience. I would rate our stay a 3 out of 5.
