Evidently the climate control was shut down the night we were there. We were very hot all night, and the front desk was not equipped to fix the technical issue. Other than that, the hotel was great!

Convenient to overnight, and reasonably priced

Super convenient for overnight connections, right behind the airport. Reasonably priced. Expensive breakfast. Only issue was the coffee & tea makers did not work. I called front desk nobody answered. On check out I mentioned and they said it was a safety lock, had to pull out a drawer. No instructions noted, no desk to instruct.

Loved it's close proximity to the airport literally just a minute walking distance thus allowing us extra sleep versus having to wake up early, finding transportation to the airport and enduring traffic. And if we needed anything we can just walk over to the mini grocery market inside the airport for stuff.

This is a very nice hotel literally AT the Berlin airport. There was a short line upon check-in, which was fine, with two desk agents working. After one finished and I was next in line, she looked past me to the flight crew waiting to check in and gestured them over. I am not upset they took the crew - though I'm not sure why that needed to happen; they were going to bed, not for a flight. But, ok. No problem. The problem is that the agent didn't even acknowledge that I was next. She didn't say, "He'll take you in just a second." and then gesture the crew over. I would have been fine with that. But nothing. And her line was not a crew-only line. The customer she had just been helping appeared to be a regular guest. She just looked past me like I wasn't even there. The next agent did check me in and that was fine. He was friendly and professional and got the job done. The room was really roomy and very nice and modern. Two issues though: there are no outlets near the bed. This is a problem if you use your phone for your alarm, as we do. So that was a pain. A bigger pain was the poor air conditioning performance in the room. We had it as cold as it would go and it was still probably over 70F in the room. It was pretty miserable to sleep in that. We called the desk in the middle of the night and were told that they'd look at the system on their end. It then got slightly cooler for 10 minutes and back to the heat. I'm not sure I would stay here again.

The young skinny Asian boy at the reception is rude and lacks customer service . Needs more training on how to talk to clients . The young lady might be in training did say a word and was just looking at him , didn’t place a word , she was shocked at his behavior ! I would never stay there ever nor recommend STEIGENBERGER AIRPORT HOTEL BERLIN to my company executives

I enjoyed the close proximity to the airport, where i could walk to the check-in, despite my handicaps walking. The registration desk service was excellent. The restaurant food was delicious. However the room service was mostly unavailable when I called. As a handicapped person, walking across the entire 4th floor to and from the elevators to get to the restaurant was often difficult.
