There was major construction on the fifth floor, it was very unsafe to walk through the corridor and in the morning we wet blocked into our room by plastic sheeting which we struggled to get through, then to try and get luggage up the corridor was a nightmare. We complained to reception who didn’t seem to care.

Quiet hotel

Upon arrival, our room was in an adjacent building, where construction was still taking place, noise begsn at 0800 the following day Called front desk, was abkd yo get a room in main building, but smelled of smoke, then we were changed to a new quiet room, smoke free. Only one problem with bathtub spout, had a dent, dmall hole, water spurting out. Told front desk, but didn't want it fixed until after check out follollwing day. Was told nobody would come into our room that day. Had our "Do not Disturb" sign on door, but after came back that evening, saw faucet had been taped, so staff must have entered our room without permission. Hotel had nice restaurant, puano bar, and 16 min walk to Schlossplatz area for shops, restaurants, museums. A 5 min taxi ride to Haupbahnhoff.

Fantastic hotel

Absolutely brilliant hotel. A few minutes walk from a U Bahn stop and maybe 25 minutes to the city centre. Loved the greeting at reception with the complementary water. My room was big, liked the shower with electric temperature control. The breakfast was truly amazing,

I requested and was granted without hesitation a room change due to the allocated room not being suitable. GREAT breakfast- the best omelette I’ve had in Deutschland. Spacious, clean rooms. Close to HBF but with luggage you will need a taxi. Bistro restaurant is a bonus as you don’t need to leave the hotel for food. Taxis waiting outside the front entrance of the hotel. Will come back here
