I booked this apartment through Expedia. The price I agreed to pay on Expedia was not what the hotel charged me. I was forced to pay more, as I did not want to walk around the city trying to find an alternative stay on the evening I arrived.
Expedia also communicated to me that a deposit had been charged to me prior to travelling. However the hotel had no record of this.
Although the apartment was fine, I would never book through Expedia again with them. Expedia representatives were telling me that I would get the excess cost back as it was a deposit, but I did not.
No idea if this was an Expedia issue or a hotel issue, but was not ideal trying to deal with it in the moment.
