After a 9-hour flight to London, my family and I arrived to check in around 2:20 p.m. The receptionist told us we couldn’t check in until 3:00 p.m., which I found surprising — most hotels will let you check in a little earlier if rooms are ready, especially after noon. We waited until 2:45 to get in line (the line was already quite long), and by the time it was finally our turn, it was 2:55. Even then, we were told we still had to wait until exactly 3:00 p.m. I honestly didn’t think five minutes would make such a big difference. After a long international flight, that lack of flexibility was really disappointing. A bit of understanding or hospitality would’ve gone a long way. Next time, I’ll be booking somewhere that values their guests’ comfort over a strict clock.

Overpriced average hotel.

Dated hotel. Very overpriced for what it is. Beds comfy. Breakfast very average. Charged £20 per person to add breakfast when booking and then offered it cheaper afterwards which felt like a bit of a rip off. If the room was cheaper would stay again as good location. Definately not worth the £300 a night we paid.

The three nights that we were there with my sister in room 320, the next door guest (room 318) was talking, fighting on the phone, laughing noisily, disturbing our sleep. We complained the first, second and third night.

Room 216 was a mess. The cleaning staff left a dirty pair of socks from a previous guest in the room for 3 days. The carpets were full of stains. During our visit, we were awakened by a guy screaming, "Oh my god, oh my god," along with the sound of running and a crisis in the corridor. We were scared to death. After the episode, no one from the hotel informed us of the situation. I approached a security guard near our room about the situation, and he took us to the front desk to speak with management. The person in charge minimized whatever happened without telling us the truth or showing us the CCTV footage. They offer another room on the same floor, but far away from the emergency exit. We accepted. This room was cleaner and a few steps from the elevator. The rest of our stay was uneventful, but the feeling of insecurity persisted.

We enjoyed our stay and found all staff very approachable, they have excellent customer service skills. Only cons: The pillows were not great, and it was a bit tricky to make the room comfortable temperature at night (it was too cold, and the heater was a bit loud) but for us it’s not a deal breaker. It might be important to know for sensitive sleepers. However, we liked the location a lot and the customer service. The property is nice and clean. The toiletry is very pleasantly scented. The TV worked fine and the water in the shower was good pressure and temperature. I would return again!

We stayed at the Millennium hotel due to its location. We found it easy to connect to train, and walkable to several area sites we planned to visit. The room was clean (with a small exception of the waste basket was not emptied when we arrived from the previous guest- yet the room otherwise was pristine). the hotel was quiet too- I would highly recommend this to others in the future.

Honestly, the room was the worst part of our stay. It was on the 2nd floor (listed 1st floor), and while the space itself was nice, it had a strong mildew or moldy smell. For such a nice hotel, that was disappointing. The shower head was also broken, causing water to spray everywhere. I really wanted to like this place since it’s extremely close to the metro, and the staff were wonderful. Housekeeping did an excellent job and worked very efficiently. There are plenty of shops nearby, a casino downstairs, and free water refill station— all great perks. Unfortunately, the room itself just didn’t do it for us. I wanted to rate it higher but if you want my honest opinion the moldy smell in the room ruined all the great things about this, could have been a great stay hotel.
