Noble floor of Palazzo Vidmar in the center of Gorizia
The renovation of a large apartment has just been completed, which wanted to combine the Viennese flavor of the period building with the practicality and functionality of today's living. Palazzo Vidmar is located in the central area of Gorizia, a stone's throw from the park and the main street that connects the railway station to the historic center. Quiet area with shops, restaurants and excellent parking facilities. Ideal for stays of multiple families or groups of friends.
SPACE
The apartment extends over almost the entire first floor and consists of an entrance hall, corridor which distributes four bedrooms, two complete bathrooms, a living room with a kitchen block. It is the result of the renovation of the noble floor of Palazzo Vidmar, built between the two wars in the district of the Austrian villas. The accommodation has been designed to respond to medium-long stays of large families or groups of friends, providing a living-lounge space with a minimal but perfectly organized kitchenette. Furniture is essential but effective. The systems and appliances are new. The apartment is equipped with Wi-Fi with unlimited gigs, two TVs, one of which is a smart HD, schuko sockets and USB fast charger (Fast Charging), bluetooth speakers, independent heating and all the comforts. Guests are left with products for personal hygiene and house cleaning, tablecloths, clean towels and sheets, pillows of their choice. It is possible to have breakfast at home as basic foods are left available. (* for the first week of stay only).
HOW TO ENTER THE HOME
The stairwell leads to the first floor. At the entrance you will find a technical room with washing machine and boiler. From the entrance you can reach two distinct areas with their bedrooms and their bathrooms. The courtyard where you can leave your bikes is common to the whole condominium. It is easy to find a parking space in the street, just below the building, just pay attention to the indications of the days of prohibition for cleaning the streets. The neighborhood is particularly peaceful.
I am almost always in the area and I myself will give you the keys and provide all the necessary explanations to make your stay pleasant. In these pages there is a user manual, house rules and a guide of possible itineraries. However, I will give many explanations in person. In any case, the apartment is simple and very flexible, designed for smart users.
TO CONSIDER ALSO THAT ..
The apartment is ideal for stays of a week or more, but due to its characteristics it is also suitable for quick overnight stays. It is brand new: easy to use and clean. Upon request, it is possible to expand the range of appliances available or additional furnishings. All the beds in three of the four bedrooms are single (80X200) but can be connected in a double format. There are two comfortable double sofa beds, one in a bedroom and the other in the living room. Also on request we have cots, air mattresses and mattresses on the floor to expand the variety of beds. The flexibility with which the accommodation was conceived allows you to organize the presence of several families at the same time and particularly large groups. All this while maintaining a good level of services and privacy.
AREA OVERVIEW
The renovation project sought to enhance a certain aesthetic taste that was widespread in Gorizia in the last century, when the city played an important role among the multicultural capitals of Central Europe. Still you can appreciate the architectural peculiarity of the city which has several monuments that survived the war destruction of the First World War. In recent decades the interest in Gorizia-Nova Gorica has grown, which proposes itself as an incomparable starting point for numerous cultural, food and wine and sports itineraries: the Collio Hills and the Karst plateau, the Soča Valley up to Klagenfurt or Bled lake, the Vipacco valley and the city of Ljubljana, Trieste, Udine, Cividale, Palmanova, Aquileia, Grado, the Casinos of Nova Gorica. All this at the maximum distance of one hour! The guide is just a small essay of what I can describe to you verbally.
HOW TO GET
The apartment is located five minutes from the railway station and basically in the center: in Gorizia you can travel on foot or by bicycle. There are several points that rent bikes and a bike sharing system is under construction. Car parking under the house (but pay attention to the risk of removal for street cleaning: read the signs before leaving the car!). Accessibility from the highway is very easy, following the signs towards the center. There are also comfortable buses that connect the railway station with Nova Gorica. From the Ronchi dei Legionari airport (Trieste) you can take a train with a change in Monfalcone. By car it takes no more than half an hour.
