The rooms are tired and dated. The first night couldn't sleep because train noise and vibration. Wee told a staff member. She said that people have complained before about this. This wasn't mentioned when wee booked or checked it. Wouldn't stay at this hotel again.

My biggest issue with this hotel is being 3 stories high and having no lift or bell hop to help with baggage. I don't mind doing stairs on the daily but dragging our bags up there was a bit difficult (the staircases were also narrow). The rooms were small but that is to be expected in London. We had our own shower and toilet which seemed clean enough. The shower was a bit bizarre as it was not tall enough to go over your head, you had to hand hold it to rinse your hair and face. It felt like a camper shower. Not bad just cramped and utilitarian. We had pretty noisy neighbors on all sides but our kids were rather noisy themselves (just during the day though, they sleep early). BUT you can hear the underground every single 5 minutes rumble underneath. So if you are a light sleeper, I do not recommend this hotel. Even on the 3rd floor, you still heard and felt the trains. What the hotel lacked in physical property conditions, it made up for in staff. The breakfast staff were so very kind, welcoming, and friendly. They made me and my family feel very welcome. It is right across the street from a pretty little square park with some statues. It is nice to have a green place to walk and look upon while travelling in the city. Also, it is within walking distance to Hyde Park and Kensington Palace. It was quite an easy walk, too. I really enjoyed my stay here, overall. Thank you.

Great location, few minutes walk from Paddington station and underground. Loads of places to eat nearby. Fridge in the room was great for food and drink. I was in a single room with a good hairdryer, 7 plug sockets, 2 USBs, decent sized TV. Nighttime lighting in the bathroom. Very comfy bed. Could hear the trains but didn't keep me awake. Continental breakfast with some hot items was a bonus. Staff friendly. Yes it was a bit tired in the communal areas but rooms were very clean and great value. I would stay again

The location is perfect - inbetween Regent's and Hyde Park and a few minutes away from Paddington Basin and station. The hotel is in need of renovation - we were on the 4th floor with steep stairs - breathless when we reached the room!! The room was small but clean and quiet.

Good economy room with three separate beds, good for traveling with teens. The room was in the cellar, had low natural light and smelled damp. There were mold stains in the bathroom. There was the metro traffic under the floor - it went on till late and started early, one could hear the trains and feel the room rattling a bit with each train. That was a bit unpleasant. Breakfast was OK, not too many healthy options though. All in all - when traveling with teens, it's an OK room, not too terrible. Location is good.

Our room was very clean, staff were lovely. Although we didn't use use the games facilities, it was nice to see what was offered. Couldn't fault the breakfast, the scrambled egg was as good as we've had in a very long time. Due to our train times changing we arrived far earlier than the advertised check-in time, but the reception staff were wonderful and as our room was ready, allowed us to check-in, which meant we could head into London earlier than anticipated. There was some noise from the Underground, but as we had requested (and were given) a ground floor room and we were only a few minutes from Paddington station it was hardly surprising. It certainly wasn't an issue and if anything, probably rocked us to sleep. Plenty of power sockets and a USB port, so charging phones was easy. We would definitely stay here again.
