Tongariro Mökki, Söpö ja maalaismainen vanhan maailman charmia

1920 tyyli weatherboard mökki, vain 20 min ajomatkan Mt Ruapehu Ski kentät, 5min National Park Ravintolat, kahvilat ja vain 2min ystävällinen Raurimu Pub. Paikallisen uima-allas on asiakkaiden käytettävissä kesällä kk se sijaitsee vanhan koulun alueelta. Bach sijaitsee rinnalla kierre trainline. Raurimu tunnetaan kierre juna, joka kulkee sen läpi ja jopa Keski tasangolla. On valtava määrä ulkoilua tällä kauniilla seudulla maastopyöräilystä 42 Traverse laaja määrä kävelee aina 5min useita päiviä, kuten kuuluisalle Tongariro Alpine Crossing.

A lovely (too) short stay in Raurimu

Stayed for just one night in this lovely, character-filled home to watch our daughter run the Tongariro Goat the next day (usually stay for two nights but unfortunately couldn't this time).What a great place! So much character, great open plan living area, plenty of sleeping space with comfy beds and a lovely setting. Definitely want to come back and enjoy the place more fully, including the hot tub!Sienna was fantastic to deal with.Many thanks .

Winner, winner, chicken dinner!

We loved the warm family atmosphere and country cottage vibe including the green grass and big maple tree (and swing). Enjoyed the late summer light on the back verandah, and a wonderful roast dinner with the family after a beautiful walk at nearby Tongariro. Warm fireside chats late into the night and then up early the next day for a longer hike. Fantastic base for enjoying the delights of Tongariro National Park.

Great break away

We really our stay at this very cosy cottage. Great fire place with plenty of wood to burn. Being so near to the Raurimu Spiral for train, National Park for supplies and rock climbing and Mt Rhapehu was excellent. Our party of 10 were most comfortable.

House was comfortable and had everything we needed for a quick break. Location is great. We had a lot of fun in the snow. We had two trains passing during the night. The only criticism would be that we would have loved to take a warm shower after returning from the snow, but the water took very long to heat up from the fire.

Comfortable stay

My friend and I were very comfortable in this house end of August during a very wet week. Was very clean and we were surprised how warm we kept in it. Great log fire. Very well equipped kitchen. Very comfortable beds. Great location for us, we walked, mountain biked, skied and dined out at local hotel restaurant. Short drive to well stocked four square for anything you’d need.

Excellent property - we love this property have stayed here several times and always enjoy our time here. Loved the recent work that has been done on the property. It was super clean and tidy all throughout loved the kitchen and the playground area looks great too (not that we needed it). We will definitely stay here again

Amazing property, the owners have put a lot of thought into the decorating and making it child friendly with an awesome playhouse and other activities. Our 2 year old loved seeing all the toot toots :D Very comfortable 3 nights here in winter.

Awesome house

We had a really nice stay. I was worried about getting cold but there was a really good woodburner with heaps of dry wood- didnt even need kindling to light it. We were so warm. The house was clean, modern and comfortable, with comfy beds. I liked the decor and having a clothes dryer was very appreciated! We will definitely be back to stay here next time we go to the snow. Thank you for having us

This was our second time. We love the place, the space, the trains and the memorabilia. Watching the trains go through was a total highlight for my dad, the kids played badminton in the garden and we did some beautiful walks in National Park. A great place for the whole family.

Staying at this house is a memorable experience

This house has a very large collection of antiques on display. Felt like we were stepping back in time and the kids loved it, such a good learning experience for them seeing all old things that people used in the olden days. Cozy house. Massive yard for the kids to play soccer and run around. I personally don't think it would be safe to bring toddlers here because the train track is just off the boundary & not fenced.
