Good location

Pros: It’s very efficient very clean an excellent restaurant a wonderful array of food at breakfast and lovely to walk into .
Cons: For me just ( see above ) the room booking . I cannot believe your customers have to have your choice of sleeping arrangements.
Location: The location very good , a short pleasant stroll along the Rhine brings you to the Cathedral.
A pleasant hotel in a good location it’s a 4 Star with some nice touches ,a welcome drink ,the loan of umbrellas and a chocolate advent box ( we stayed at Christmas time ) . My only criticism would be ,we asked for a twin room and were allocated on arrival with a double bedded room ,we are friends not a couple we prefer our own bed ! The pleasant young man on the reception explained this could only be a request on our part not a requirement , I have never had this outlook before I have always been given the room I chose on booking so would hesitate to book with the hotel again just for this reason . This the only reason I didn’t score them 5 stars. ( we did get a twin room after standing our ground on the smoking floor )

Lovely Hotel

Only stayed for two nights but really enjoyed staying here. Staff were lovely, rooms were nicely decorated and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

Brilliant hotel experience

We stayed here as it was much more affordable than others and we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel is in a fab location right across from the river Rhine. The rooms were warm and comfortable, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was great! Will definitely use this hotel again!

Brilliant experience

We chose this hotel for our visit to the Christmas markets in cologne as it was very affordable. It turns out that we definitely made the right choice! The staff were very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was lovely with a great variety and the location was perfect! It's directly across from the Rhine so views were great and only a few steps up the road was the market by the Lindt chocolate museum. The mini trains stop right outside this market and for a few Euro you can take the train to visit some of the bigger markets in cologne. As we had some older people in our party this was ideal as there was minimal walking involved. The 24 hour petrol station directly beside the hotel is also very handy for bits and bobs. Will definitely use this hotel again!

Nice hotel opposite the river

It feels like a business hotel which lacks character but it was very clean and lovely staff. Nice location just opposite the river and a short walk to the main attractions

City Break

Nice hotel, about 15 mins walk from bars, restaurants etc. The only problem was the room was very warm at night as the traffic would have made opening the window too noisy and airconditioning wasn't adequate. Bar was nice, good cocktails. Staff helpful. Wifi cut off agree a small amount of use, but reception gave us a voucher to use foc.

Basic - not up to NH Hotel normal standards

Car park was full but plenty secure parking available within 10 mins @ 22euro/day Room wasn't cleaned on first night. Cleaner did ignore the do not disturb sign though to wake us at 08:30 then didn't return later. Bathroom not very clean & smelt stale. Toiletries didn't get replaced or refilled so make sure you bring your own. No tea/coffee / safe / iron so claiming 4 stars is really a joke!! Very unimpressed especially when compared to NH hotels stayed in elsewhere

Weekend with friends

The NH Köln City was brilliant. It was within easy walking distance to the city centre so we did not have to worry about taxis. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Will be back next year for sure
