The room was clean and the hotel was close to the busy shopping area, plus by the main road. The staff at the reception area needs to be a little nicer in conversation. Check in is on the 1st floor.

Nice hotel, friendly and helpful staff, cafes and restaurants in the neighborhood as well as grocery stores. Close to a good transportation network for getting around the city (train, metro and buses). We enjoyed our stay here.

This was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in Berlin. The great location doesn’t make up for the fact that one of the lifts is not working, and both clearly need maintenance. Staff not friendly. AC not working in the room and judging by the queue of people complaining the 3 times I visit reception, it is a well known issue. Breakfast is also pretty below basic and not worth the charge in my view.

We booked two suites over Christmas and wow they are huge!! They were clean and felt luxurious. Bed was large and comfy, as we're the sofa beds. So large we had our own dance floor hehe Hotel is a 2 minute stroll to the nearest underground station. Restaurants all around and we had the best stay we could have asked for.

Long weekend for Weihnachtsmarkt in Berlin.

When visiting Berlin on a regular basis we always stay in The Hollywood Media Hotel on the Kurfurstendamm. On this occasion there were no vacancies so after a quick search around the Best Western Plus Plaza was a very good replacement as it is almost next door and the location is simply fabulous. The room was comfortable and clean, if a little quirky with the sink and washing area outside the bath/shower room. The reception is on the 1st floor which is accessed via a two way escalator (up and down, cool). The lifts are also a design feature with an automatic folding closing gate. We stayed B&B and the breakfast was fantastic and served from 7am to 11am. Nothing wrong with this hotel and the location close to the Zoo/Blue Church/Europa Centre is ideal. The Kurfurstendamm is lined with High End Designer shops such as Rolex, Prada, D&G and DKNY.

No refrigerators in rooms. Same problem I had last year. Also, the 2 lifts constantly break down or unavailable for long periods. Other than these problems, I had a nice stay and the staff was very helpful and friendly.
