"Ystävällinen ja huomaavainen vastaanotto respassa. Huone oli siisti ja pelkistetty, pienillä harkituilla yksityiskohdillilla puristettu, kuten virkattu lampunvarjostin ja kankainen likapyykkipussi! Amme ylitti kaikki odotukset! Sinne olisi helposti mahtunut toinenkin henkilö pulikoimaan. Aamiainen ei ylittänyt odotuksia, vaan pikemminkin oli vähän pettymys. Ruoka oli kyllä hyvää, mutta ei mitään yllättävää. Karjalanpiirakat oli huonosti paistettuja ja munavoi oli tehty liian kuumista munista, joten sulavoi kellui suurten munakokkareiden välissä. Keittiön henkilökunta ei selvästikään tiennyt, miltä munavoin pitää näyttää..."
