"Hotelli sijaitsee muutaman minuutin päässä Southern Cross -rautatieasemalta, josta myös bussit lentokentälle lähtevät. Lähellä on useita ruokakauppoja ja ravintoloita ja kaupungin varsinaiset ostoskadut ovat noin 10 minuutin kävelymatkan päässä.
Hotellihuone oli suurehko, mutta sisustukseltaan hyvin pelkistetty. Siisteystaso oli hyvä, mutta päivittäinen siivous sisälsi vain pyyhkeiden vaihdon. Sisäänkirjautumisen yhteydessä minulle kerrottiin, että koko hotellin ilmastointi oli rikki ja että sen korjausaikataulu ei ollut tiedossa varaosien saatavuuden vuoksi. Tästä johtuen olisin halutessani saanut perua varaukseni vaikka se ei muutoin olisi ollut mahdollista. Ilmastointi saatiin kuitenkin korjattua seuraavana päivänä, mutta ymmärtääkseni se ehti olla rikki yhteensä viisi vuorokautta. Ilman ilmastointia huonelämpötila oli vaatimattomat 31 astetta, hotelli toimitti kuitenkin pyytämättä huoneeseen siirrettävän tuulettimen, josta ei luonnollisesti ollut kuin hyvin pientä apua. Vastaanoton henkilökunta ei ollut erityisen palvelualtista.
Hotellin hissejä pystyy käyttämään ilman avainta, joten myös huonekerroksiin pääsi käytännössä kuka tahansa, mikä ei vaikuttanut kovinkaan turvalliselta."
