The hotel itself is old and run down in the common areas like the corridors and stairs Worn and duct taped carpets, leak stains in the ceiling and marked paint etc. However the rooms are spacious clean and very comfortable. Bathrooms are very clean. And usable Staff are outstanding courteous and attentive, and the breakfast, while limited is well cooked and enjoyable. Overall, the quality of the staff and rooms is let down by the old and deteriorating building. Needs money spent on it

The room was fine - clean, comfortable and did the job for a one-night stopover. Reception staff were great, very helpful and friendly. Breakfast wasn’t great (found a hair in the scrambled eggs!) but overall not a bad stay and would stay again if in the area.

The staff were absolutely brilliant, they went above and beyond to ensure we were catered for... The room was clean, warm, and very comfortable. I unfortunately couldn't give a 5* review because the tiles on the bathroom floor were loose and broken.

Room was clean, and staff good from checkin and check out. Breakfast wasn't brilliant. The worst thing was the bed. The bed was so uncomfortable everytime me or the wife would turn you would end up rolling into each other. The decorated rooms were dated and our floor just felt like something out of the rough place in back streeets of Vegas! Wouldn’t rate this as IHG Standard more like a 2 to 3 star hotel.

Staff were great, hotel was clean and tidy, nice room. Late checkout is stupidly priced and only two hours extra for £20… Not so useful when working nights and need to check out at your 0600 which is 1800 in real time. Breakfast was ok, bacon was great, eggs were a little “ropey” Get in early for the best ones. Gate lock access also a bit “naff” but maybe in the process of repair.
