I'm so pleased we booked Belgrave Sands Hotel for our short stay in Torquay. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The cleanliness and the upkeep of this hotel was very good. Breakfast was plentiful and we had a great choice from the menu and on the breakfast table. The hotel is in a great location for Torquay main sea front and harbour.

Fresh and well cooked breakfast with a good choice of options.Hotel very clean, staff very friendly and professional. Well kept outside areas with seating. Free parking with a lot of spaces which is brilliant. Only point would be the room we stayed in, the wardrobe had hardly any long hanging space. All round though a lovely Hotel.

Room was incredibly clean and spacious. The food was lovely and I could not fault this. However, the customer service needs focus. I’m not sure if it was because I was travelling with a child, but staff were not attentive, and I found the service very slow. The lady serving us in the lounge was polite and friendly, everyone else lacked the ability to smile and provide basic information on the facilities/how breakfast is run. I would recommend this hotel but I do believe the customer service could be improved.

The room we had was in excellent condition, the spa was really good, staff were brilliant and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a break in Torquay.

Lovely hotel near the beach. All staff the was very friendly. My room was a good size, clean, quiet and had sufficient wardrobes and drawers for a stay. Walk in shower was very good although the size could be challenging for some.

An absolute gem in the beating heart of Torquay. Within easy walking distance of all amenities - not that you would ever need to leave the hotel. The staff are keen, friendly and helpful - an absolute 'find' and far better value for money than some of the pricier places in this resort.

Overall had a good stay at Belgrave Sands, check in was smooth. The room was nice and cosy and spotlessly clean, however during the night was really hot and had to use their fan. The weather was not hot at all so I dread to think what it would be like in the summer without air-con. The room was cleaned everyday which was great. The breakfast was very good however i found the service really slow, on our final day i think we were forgotten about because we had to ask about it. One of the servers i did not get her name but she told us she was originally from East London, she was very nice and made sure we werw ok and had everything that we needed. We liked the added bonus of room service for an extra £5. It appears this hotel caters for OAPs but this didnt bother us too much because it meant the hotel was relatively quiet. I would recommend this hotel because overall it was a good stay.
