We had a basic sea view room which we had asked for. It does however need re furbishing, Dated and mis matched furniture, poor shower, no plug in basin. The room was very hot and the windows were screwed down.

The imperial is a lovely big hotel with so much character &history,it has everything you need .Its clean lovely and warm and so homely ,staff all friendly and helpful ,they all work so hard to keep this hotel so nice nothing we didnt like about the hotel .would definitely recommend it and we would definitely come back . The area the hotel is in would have once been so beautiful with beautiful architectures ,sad to see how its been left to go ,it needs some love put into it and fixing and cleaning up the collonades /access points to the beach. also needs some lighting to make it safe when its dark.needs bringing back to life make it beautiful as it once was ..the hotel still looks as stunning as it does on all the past old photos .

We didn't use the car park, we travelled by train and taxi. Staff were so friendly, extremely helpful and accommodating. The hotel was fantastic, very grand. Rooms were spacious and comfortable.

Really disappointed & shocked that this hotel can claim 4 stars. The room was more 2 star, basic, scruffy, poor facilities, broken tv, no side lighting, heater hanging off the wall, very noisey plumbing, generally unacceptable, especially for the price!
