Breakfast was poor! No vegetarian or vegan bacon/sausage. No mushrooms. I tried to toast three slices of bread, easy piece caught fire - it was hilarious!!! The hash browns were extremely undercooked (light yellow) and cold, so were the baked beans. Only scrambled eggs available; no poached or fried. The room was clean. Awful view. Good shower. No fridge or minibar. The stay was okay but I wouldn't book again.

Just a very average stay

A very average stay. It wasn’t terrible but also isn’t a hotel I’ll likely return to. In the main, the room was clean enough with good bathroom facilities, however, the appearance of what looked like a blood stain on the carpet wasn’t particularly appealing. Breakfast was absolutely packed, struggled to get a table and some items not restocked quick enough. As I’ve said, very average which is what I would have expected.

Parking next to hotel is £32 per 24hrs. There is parking for £15 per 24hrs but that is further away. Family room sofa bed very uncomfortable and receptionist pretty fed up and thought we had asked for the moon when i requested some extra pillows, but bathroom was lovely and clean. Very busy hotel.

Good value hotel.

Good value for money hotel, choice of rooms on arrival which was good, comfortable bed and excellent (ice cold) air conditioning in room, shower a bit weak but useable, so overall room was very good for the price. The only gripe for me was the breakfast room, totally chaotic !!! If i stayed here again in the school holidays i would eat breakfast out !! To be fair the staff in the breakfast room deserve a medal... overall decent value for money and walkable from new street station if you are reasonably fit.

Good but hopefully great after September

The hotel stay almost got five stars from me but was let down by a few areas that weren’t really disabled friendly. The main one being no access to the breakfast serving area (stairs only), apparently it’s being rectified in September, the staff were helpful but there’s nothing like deciding yourself what you want to pick for breakfast. The staff were great though, especially at check-in, really trying to make your stay the best.

Snow Hill 2 nights

Ideal location for Snow Hill station, close to the city centre. A couple of minor issues with the room were dealt with quickly and efficiently. Excellent service from all members of staff throughout the stay. Excellent breakfast.

Large busy hotel for short stayovers: close to tram and bus stops and walkable to city centre. Breakfast was a challenge for staff when very full; constantly running out of cutlery, plates, milk and fiianlly pastries. Little cold food offer; fruit just apples.
