The rooms on the ground floor really need a deep clean - the carpets get vacuumed but look very dirty and stained- you don’t want to put your bare feet on them. Glass light shade very dusty. Gives a sense of lack of care. Facilities are not great - apparently you have to ask for a hairdryer at reception but they don’t tell you that when you check in. Fridge door upside down so handle near the floor. In one room toilet seat damaged needs replacing and kettle lid broken. Both items made of cheap plastic so not expensive to replace. Staff are nice.

A good hotel with a very nice room, however, when I was checking in, I was asked for photo ID which I didn't have. Had the hotel asked in advance. I should have been able to provide this. Very stressful after a tiring hot day..

Just about value for money in summer months.

Easy check in. Very clean. Small room and air con not great (even after googling how to operate it). Very small bathroom. Would be great out of summer.

It was a compact room for 3 people with average amenities. Staffs cleaned the room daily, that was very much appreciated. But could be a bit better according to money’s worth.

Hospital visit

It’s a shame they didn’t have stairs as we were on the 1st floor and sometimes had to wait for the escalator when wr could have justed walked the stairs,The air con wasn’t working but as we only stayed 2nights we put up with it.The hotel is convenient for St George’s wich is why we choose it and expect Hospital staff to also use it.

Disliked: Amenities
Pros: The staff were friendly. The bed was comfortable. The shower had consistent hot water. Cons: The room was very outdated and in need of an upgrade (major scuffs and dings on the walls, the floor and chair were stained). The shower was super tiny and not sealed well, so if the water got on that side of the shower, it would leak on the floor. It is supposed to have a restaurant, but it's closed permanently. It has a small bar at the lobby, but doesn't have a license to sell beer yet. We were happy it had a lift (this was a big feature for us as I have a bad knee injury) but with no notice, only halfway into our trip, they put up signs saying to use the stairs as the main floor was having renovations done. This was super inconvenient and painful. Overall, if you're not spending a lot of time in your room and you're just looking for a cheap place to stay, this one is decent. Not great, but not terrible.

It was very noisy , access was via fire exit due to ongoing work . My room was near this access and the door banging leading to the stairs woke me continually through the night . People coming and going and door slamming. Very poor sleep won't stay here again

An affordable option within walking distance of amenities and tube. Not our first visit, but we choose the large room this time and it’s definitely worth it. Would have been good to be provided with more toiletries, but otherwise a solid choice.
