All around magnificent piece of architecture. Brilliant staff, very helpful and pleasant. For the price I paid, the room itself was great. The place could do with a bit of redecoration but I really liked the atmosphere of the hotel overall.

Room needs updating. Was clean. But bottom of shower mouldy, marks on walls. Window rotting. No sockets near bed. Mattress only 3in wide and rock hard. Very poor sleep. But was cheap.

We have stayed here twice now we love it it’s old and charming the receptionists as always happy to help upgrading us to a sea view and bigger rooms Parking is a big pain as never any spaces outside had to park in another hotel parking paid £10 for the night

Room smelt of sewerage

A very grand looking hotel with great foyer and sweeping staircase, but ultimately it doesn't matter how clean a hotel room is if it stinks of sewerage from the toilet.

We had a lovely comfortable stay. We did have to clean the bathroom a little as few hairs on the bath and toilet had brown water in the bottom but apart from that it was lovely. We had robes in the wardrobes, toiletries and plenty of towels. The coffee pod machine is a nice touch. Overall hotel was clean as you could be for its size ! We really enjoyed our stay thank you
