On arrival check in was fast and shown where breakfast would be. We were upgraded to an executive room which was very spacious. Bed very comfortable. Air conditioning in the room very noisy and the room was very hot. We had to sleep with the balcony door wedged open to cool it down. The hall ways are looking very tired. I’d stay again if the price was right.

Awful hotel so tired , lots broken, no hot water! Huge queue to check out as everyone needed to complain. Looking at a few recent reviews seems the hotel does not offer hot water anymore!!! Massively overpriced- avoid at all costs

The location was convenient as there were restaurants and historical sites within easy walking distances. I felt safe in the area. Very convenient for cruiseship passengers. Our room a very tiny “portable fridge “ on floor (odd!) under the bench, good for a few waters but not good if you cant bend easily. , no microwave, no ice machine. Theres a tea kettle in room. Plumbing issues in our room very slow sink drain and toilet flush(es) didnt dare use tub because of this, so showered at spa instead. No convience store in lobby, needed a few items like chocolate for husband diabities, nothing quick available, used Ubereats. Did not use room service but it is offered. Room doors need upgradeing as when you close the door to exit room you need to use your card and move door handle down, to pull it in to close it shut as the door lock stays ajar. Just be cautious as its esay to leave door unsecured at both enter and exit. Beds are extremly comfortable and the staff very friendly. We could check in early for a fee which was wonderful. Door man great help arranging taxi.

Range of healthy food included in a wide range of breakfast choice at the buffet. Staff friendly and helpful. Room clean and appealing due to its close proximity to Westquay shopping centre, Mayflower Theatre, cruise ships at Southampton harbour and rail links from Southampton central to london and other key cities. Hotel is nicely presented as high star rating but with robust values. Highly recommend and would definitely again

Quick check in. Comfortable quiet room. Easy free parking. Only complaint is that rapid checkout via phone didn’t work despite the fact I had nothing to pay because I hadn’t ordered anything. I wasn’t the only one to experience this.

We were thrilled to have room 119 which had a balcony and we could view the cruise ships departing. It was warm and clean. The complimentary water and coffee pods were really appreciated. Service at breakfast and at reception was warm, friendly and efficient. It was a surprise that breakfast and parking were included. Had a lovely reunion evening with tasty food, especially the beef. The staff was very helpful at check in by offering an upgraded room at a nominal charge. The bed and linens were excellent. This led to a great nights sleep. Very nice bath and everything was very clean. I would not hesitate to book this hotel again.
