Great hotel and location

Great hotel. Location is prefect from the station and so central for exploring York. Our room was clean and spacious. Space to chill in room after a day exploring. Didn't have breakfast at the hotel as really felt £30 per person was far too expensive.

Fantastic stay at The Grand, York

A wonderful place to stay. Every member of staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms are very spacious and the hotel in general is open and spacious and very inviting and cosy. Superb location for the proximity to the train station and a very short walk to the shops, bars and restaurant's. The Roman Walls are just outside the hotel so very easy to be able to walk along the wall. Really looking forward to visitng again.

I stayed here a long time ago when it was in soft-opening mode. I didn't know there were newer additions to the hotel, and I wish I'd known to book a room in main building with high ceiling.

Can’t fault it

Couldn’t fault, other than the fact pool and spa were closed for renovation. They did communicate this ahead of the stay. Great location if arriving by train.
