If you want a hotel that’s cheaper than anything else around then book Diamond lodge. The staff were excellent. It was clean. But you get what you pay for. Pretty dated, very small bed, and quite noisy on the corridors (no fault of the hotel). The breakfast is not great but it was included, so can’t complain. It was however, excellent location for trains, buses and Ubers. Really close to the co op arena. And easy to park.

We have stayed at Diamond Lodge numerous times. It is convenient for what we need, it isn't over staffed normally, we may have to wait whilst other people are being seen but its no problem as it normally isnt that busy or too big a queue/wait. The hotel is basic but clean and it is what it advertises itself as, i.e 3*** hotel. We'll definitely stay again.

The hotel has a curious feel to it. The rooms are good. It reminds someone of a hotel in Twin Peaks with a specific decor but it is strangely enchanting. I have stayed here often
