We had a delay at check in as our room wasn’t ready. We were offered free non-alcoholic drinks at the bar and also a room upgrade which we chose not to accept as it didn’t suit required number of beds for our family. The staff were super helpful and breakfast in the morning was the best hotel breakfast we’d ever had any of the extensive hotels we have visited, so fresh and piping hot.

Oh boy. Where do I start. Stayed in room 324 this Friday. Check in delayed by an hour coz of a power failure. We were offered free drinks at the bar to compensate which we appreciate but at this point kids were so tired and hungry. Room allocated and temporary key cards given. Room was clean and modern but TV won’t work, no remote in the room. Kettle won’t work. Contacted reception 3 times and had the same answer it’s been sent to your room. It wasn’t. We managed to grab dinnner in the meantime and spend an hour downstairs. When we returned to the room there was still no remote, TV still out of order and kettle still faulty. The. Came maintenance and house keeping team in short intervals, tried a few sockets, turned off the power to room a few times but no use. Finally house keeping returned around 7 pm with a remote but it won’t work or the TV won’t work. Still not sure. Replacement kettle finally worked so had brews. Dinner and breakfast bar at Carluccios was good, although servers seems short staffed. Delays on getting table cleared , food order taken. Food looked good. Breakfast spread was decent and fresh pancake machine was a hit with kids. Over all an underwhelming experience for what was a short break at Marriott’s Regent park Hotel. Not sure about a return visit.

Upon arrival, the room was not ready. It was deemed to be ready, but the television didn’t work, the door wouldn’t lock properly and there were the wrong lightbulbs in some of the fittings. The room was very dark.
