Check-in was quick. They acknowledged our anniversary and we got upgraded to a nicer room without asking. Room is spacious, bed is comfortable. Hotel is showing signs of wear (especially the couches at Sphere bar). Gym was a decent size for an airport hotel.

Although this is quite a walk from terminal 5, I would highly recommend this location. Transportation into London was free and transportation to other terminals is close by.

We didn’t end up spending a huge amount of time at the hotel as we arrived quite late and had an early morning flight but this was perfect for anybody flying into or out of Heathrow and wanting somewhere to spend the night.

We have been staying at the Sofitel Heathrow since 2011 and continues to be a brilliant start to our holiday. The rooms are spacious, very clean and kept very well. We booked a room with club lounge access and again treated to great service. The wine and nibbles were excellent, served by two lovely and friendly gentleman (sorry forgot their names). Breakfast in the morning was a choice of cold items or you could order hot food. Again good service. Only one minor improvement would be extra USB sockets in the room.

Beds need replacing and more sockets needed.

The Sofitel is a luxurious 5 star hotel with excellent service. The problem is the rooms need bringing into 2025. There's no sockets near the bed and only 3 sockets in the whole room if you use the kettle socket. So you can only charge 3 things at once and if you want to charge your phone overnight it won't be by the bed. The bed has a lovely topper on it, and the linen is beautifully soft, but the mattress underneath the topper needs replacing, like most beds at Heathrow hotels. There's a piercing orange light by the bed that cannot be turned off and stops the room being dark. If you've never used the spa, give it a go. I think it was £20 or £30. Well worth it if you have time. The staff are absolutely fantastic and help to make the stay, just wish they'd invest in new beds.
