This place was perfect for what we were looking for. The view from the living room and master bedroom is gorgeous. We loved sitting outside drinking coffee in the morning on the screened in porch. The open layout is nice and the place was very clean. We didn’t get a chance to swim in the pool, but it looked really nice. I agree with some of the reviews about the bed. The frame, mattress, and dressers need to be upgraded to something more sturdy and comfortable.

Great condo with all amenities and items needed for a great stay. Close to the beach, restaurants and stores. Good location for a visit to Charleston. The pool was really nice and clean but be sure to bring your own towels because they are not provided. We had a great time.

Great location and accommodations

Loved our stay! The condo and property is beautiful and full stocked with all your needs for your home away from home. Convenient location to Folly beach and Downtown Charleston. We enjoyed watching the dolphins swimming in the canal from the screened-in porch everyday. However, The Condo is in need of some TLC and maintenance, but overall I'd stay there again.

Hard property to review

My wife and I were unsure on what rating to give this property. I would give it a 3.5 if I could.The goodThe property is in a nice location and is located behind a security gate. The pool area is nice, even though the pool is not heated. The property was clean and everything was in working order. The balconies looked out on the channel and we were able to see dolphins swimming one morning. There was plenty of room for 4 people and the HVAC system worked well and the rooms were comfortable. I did not do a speed test on the wifi, but we did not have any problems connecting or doing what we needed to don online.The badThe beds are brutal. Not only are both bedrooms upstairs, which was not a huge deal, but the beds were uncomfortable. The master bed was one foot off the floor and was extremely difficult to get out of. There was one relatively small (32"?) tv in the living room, but no other tv's in the house. The directions to get to the property were not great. It would have been nice to know ahead of time that all of the units are numbered from 1 to 150ish. Also, while there is a numbered keypad on the door, that is not used to access the building. Instead we were expected to know that we needed to look behind us as we faced the door and find a lockbox that included the key to the house. Also, the deadbolt on the door was extremely annoying as there seemed to be no rhyme or reason on how to lock or unlock it. We just kept turning it until it did what we wanted it to do.

Beautiful House Convenient to the Beach

The neighborhood was great- pool and playground right across the street. A path straight to the beach right behind the house. The house had a great kitchen/ plenty of storage space. The beds were extremely comfortable. The ceilings were high and lots of windows. It was a more than expected great place.

Quiet stay with a beautiful view.

The community is gated and very pleasant. The unit could use a little touch up maintenance, but overall it was a nice stay.I would just recommend being careful of the neighbor. Two units share the landing on the top. My son's girlfriend stepped on the other side to speak to him on the ground floor because she couldn't get past me and the lady next door opened the door and asked the girlfriend if she needed help and told her it was HER side.

Don’t try to bring your boat here.

The description of this property is completely false advertisement. I rented this condo specifically so I could bring my boat and use the docks like the description says that you can. The condo complex only allows owners to bring their boats and or trailers inside the gates. Two days before we get there I sent a text to Vacasa asking if I could drop the boat off inside the complex so that we could spend the day in Charleston before our 4pm check in time. That’s when I was told I was not allowed to bring my boat. Two days before my trip! It was late Friday afternoon. Called vacasa a few times trying to cancel my reservations and get my money back but they wouldn’t budge. Said I would loose all my money if I didn’t go on and go. They weren’t even trying to be understanding about the situation. So, luckily I find a boat slip to rent for the week for $300. I was furious! I not only had to spend the extra money but now I have to drive to the marina instead of just walking to the docks like the description says! So Monday morning I go to the Folly Beach Vacasa office. Super helpful lady’s in there. They ended up getting me a refund for the costs of the slip. Didn’t fix it completely but at least I got a refund. Shame on the owners for advertising this way. However The condo was very nice and clean. Has great views from the two balconies too.

Folly Beach stay

The place was clean and has a nice view of the water. Finding the right condo among same condos was a challenge because the number of the address was not very visible. The door knob was challenging to open if you are unfamiliar with that type of lock. What was most frustrating about the condo was very low water pressure in the kitchen faucet and in one of the upstairs bathroom faucets. Nothing is more annoying then a small stream of water coming out of the faucet when you're trying to wash dishes! I have called and spoke to a representative multiple times and nothing was done to correct the water pressure, despite multiple apologies from them. I was told each time I called that someone was going to stop by to fix it, but no one came, and there was NO follow up to check to see if someone actually came out to fixed the problem. We had to share one bathroom AND do our dishes in the tub because of the low water pressure. I have asked for some refund and was told, "We'll look into it" but I haven't heard anything since. I'm not getting my hopes up at this point. Overall, the place is clean and decent, but definitely dealing with the water pressure was frustrating and disappointing. I would not have rented the place if there was a description in their web page noting low water pressure.

This condo has had the furniture switched out. The sofa is now green with a brown quilted dog cover covering the stains. The dining table is gone, replaced by a yard sale like table stained, chipped , scratched chairs gone replaced by plastic chairs. The kitchen electrical outlet was open , no cover. The bathrooms upstairs, hall sink no water, master sink no hot water, master toilet ran continuously, kitchen sink no water pressure just cold water. Living room downstairs has obvious square on ceiling under bathroom where Sheetrock was replaced because the paint is peeling right there. Obviously a major water leak was not repaired only water turned off. I have pictures of everything but was unable to post.

Great location and views, very nice place, gated community

Enjoyed our stay. Very clean townhouse compared to others I've rented all over the U.S. Work desk on 2nd floor for those who need to get on laptop. Short walk to folly beach over bridge (and then multiple blocks to actual beach.) Folly beach is nice and has a hippie vipe where the center is and quieter at ends. This 2 story condo has super views, was cleaned well and has 2 parking spots. Great little restaurant with water views and some outdoor tables nearby (hole in the wall) called Lolos. We would return. Some items to note: - Back bedroom has a very old/squeaky bed that won't be good for people with any back issues and the front room has a comfortable but very hard/firm bed which people who don't have back issues might have a hard time with -Screened balcony on both floors which is really nice/great views but the screens are fully ripped so bugs/bees etc do fly in/out -Be careful in master bedroom sink has hot and cold water faucets switched -A/C works as does heat but A/C on 2nd floor has some issues- was a slight wetness to the air and blankets etc when a/c was on -Offseason, many owners work on their condos. We were there in November and neighbor and condos were getting overhauled so we had quite a bit of construction going on.

Very well-maintained property. Well-furnished condo kitchen. Beds were platform, which were not very comfortable. Other than that, we were very satisfied. Lovely screened-in porch and balcony, with a peaceful view of the river activity. Easy access to Folly Beach, the town and the beach.

On The Folly River

Right on the beautiful Folly River. Place was spacious. A few issues: no dining room light, and pool not heated and only one average size tv. I didn’t realize it was gated which presented some issues with nearby family.

Nice Condo, convenient

This was a nice condo, typical rental, kitchen well stocked with dishes, tools, pots and pans. (No pizza cutter) Coffee maker came supplied with a bag of local ground coffee and filters. We were not familiar with the Charleston area, so not sure what part of town to stay. We arrived late March, so while the weather was perfect, it wasn't beach weather. (we weren't planning on going to the beach anyway) This condo is about a mile, 1.5 walk to the actual beach. Easy drive, but depending on the time of year parking could be difficult and pricey. Drive to downtown Charlotte was easy, allow about 20-30 min depending on your location. The living room couch plus the big chair could sleep 2 kids or teens, plus 2 bedrooms upstairs. 2 full bathrooms upstairs, plus a half downstairs. We enjoyed evenings in the screen porch watching sailboats go by. There are a lot of restaurants and bars on Folly Beach, and 3 major grocery stores nearby. Avoid Food Lion. Publix is a decent standard grocery store, although I didn't go in this one. Harris Teeter was really nice, a little more what this SoCal gal is used to. You also can only get beer and wine at grocery stores, no hard licquor.

Folly Beach

Good experience overall. The townhouse was very clean and spacious. The outdoor balconies were very nice. The pillows were a little too soft. A slight inconvenience to pick up the entry pass and have to drop it off. Would recommend it.
