About the property
Oakfield will truly take your breath away from the minute you arrive. Get your nearest and dearest together and enjoy seven acres of private land, a spacious home with only the finest interiors and an outdoor heated swimming pool (open between April and September). The sociable, open-plan layout creates many opportunities to spend quality time together, whilst the vast garden provides the setting for hours of fun and impressive countryside views. Should you wish to leave your rural retreat and explore the local area, stunning walking routes, cosy countryside pubs and family days out are only a stone's throw away.
The space
Set upon two floors, this impressive home combines luxurious décor and original period features throughout.

The property begins with a grand, circular driveaway, surrounded by vast woodland and a perfectly manicured lawn. Step through the front door into the entrance hall where you will find a feature fireplace and a striking oak staircase. Off the hallway, there is a small WC, a cloakroom and a handy utility room with a washing machine and a tumble dryer.

The ground floor features two lounge rooms, the first of which is a cosy and casual space with navy blue walls and plush velvet sofas. Gather around the Smart TV for a movie night, enjoy a board game marathon or take home the trophy on the games console. For a more formal affair, relax and unwind in the second living room which features a neutral colour scheme, two inviting sofas and a plush velvet snuggler chair, perfect for enjoying the open fire on a chilly evening.

Venture into the large kitchen/dining area, complete with real stone flooring, vaulted ceilings and bi-fold doors leading to the private garden overlooking the heated swimming pool. Fully equipped with everything you need, you will have access to a double range cooker, a dishwasher, a fridge/ freezer, a wine fridge and Nespresso and filter coffee machines. The separate pantry affords huge amounts of storage space. Enjoy delicious banquets around the grand 12-seater dining table or a quick snack at the four-seater breakfast bar before a day of adventure. This room is perfect for socialising and spending quality time together with its additional lounge area and Smart TV.

You will never be short of space to entertain or be entertained here. The ground floor is finished with an indoor gym, a children's playroom with table football and a wide selection of toys and crafts, plus an additional games room with a snooker table.

Upstairs there are six bedrooms, each designed with luxurious décor and soft linen sheets. The master bedroom is complete with a super-king-size bed, a Smart TV and a huge en-suite with a walk-in shower and a free-standing feature bath. Bedrooms two and three both feature king-size beds with stunning views over the grounds and countryside, whilst bedroom four has a king-size bed and an additional en-suite shower room. The remaining bedrooms have been creatively designed for families with young children. Both complete with an en-suite shower room, bedrooms five and six have two single beds on the lower level and a double bed on the mezzanine level with permanent stair gates to the upper level. Please note, the mezzanine levels are cosy and snug, meaning the double beds have slightly restricted headroom due to the low ceilings and the beds can only be accessed from one side.

There is also a separate family bathroom with a shower-over-bath and a WC on the first floor.

With seven acres of private garden to explore, Oakfield has everything you should need to keep the whole group occupied. Head over to the pool house featuring a full kitchen and shower, make a splash in the heated swimming pool (open April to September, with a retractable hard cover to keep your little ones safe), fire up either the gas or charcoal BBQs or take advantage of the pizza oven. The little ones can enjoy the play area, whilst the adults watch on from the bubbling hot tub (seats 6).

The owners will greet you on arrival and show you into the property.

Hot tub: As the hot tub is emptied, cleaned, and refilled after each booking, we cannot guarantee that your hot tub will be at its optimal operating temperature upon arrival.

Deposit: Bookings are subject to a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the booking value plus applicable booking fees with the balance payable 60 days before the date of travel.

Accidental Damage Deposit: To maintain the highest standards in our properties, guests will need to pay a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £1000 to the house manager prior to their stay.
